About the Center for Foot & Ankle Disorders and Dr. Borreggine

Dr. Joseph Borreggine, is podiatric physician and past President of the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association (IPMA) (2009-2010) and has been practice in East Central Illinois for over two decades. With his years of knowledge and experience, Dr. Borreggine is able to diagnosis and treat any foot or ankle problem. He is a member of mutiple medical health care plans, accepts Medicare assignment, and Medicaid by physician referral only

Dr. Borreggine is well-known member not only of his profession through his extensive involvement, but also in the communities that he practices. Dr. Borreggine has written numerous foot care articles for a number of local publications, appeared as a guest on area television stations as a foot health expert, and has spoken and volunteered a number times providing foot screenings at community health care events.

Dr. Borreggine is duly trained in forefoot and ankle surgery and has sub-specialty and interest in sports medicine, diabetic foot/wound care management, and peripheral arterial disease (PAD). With his recent certification to provide testing for Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) for the lower extremity with specialized testing equipment known as PADnet, Dr. Borreggine is able to provide early detection of poor circulation in the legs and feet.

Dr. Borreggine is a member of the Illinois and American Podiatric Medical Associations (IPMA and APMA), a Diplomate of The American Board of Podiatric Surgery, a Fellow of The American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and American Society of Podiatric Surgeons, and an Affiliate Member the PAD Coalition. He also is a 10 year union member, Local #45, Office of Professional International Union (OPEIU). He has also served as a member of the American Diabetes Association and American Disability Analysts Association.

Dr. Borreggine currently lives in Charleston, Illinois with his wife and family.

Dr. Joseph Borreggine - Podiatric PhysicianDr. Joseph Borreggine, Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. Graduate of Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science, Chicago, IL 1988, specializing in all aspects of foot and ankle care.

Dr. Borreggine is pleased to serve the residents of East Central Illinois and Dr. Borreggine is also a member of the medical staff at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Mattoon, Illinois; Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana, Illinois; Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, Illinois; Carle Foundation Surgery Center, Urbana, Illinois; Effingham Ambulatory Surgery Center, and St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital, both in Effingham, Illinois.

Current member of multiple HMO and PPO programs.
We accept Medicare Assignment and Workman's Compensation.

Our Professional Staff

Our staff is friendly and accommodating. They provide prompt scheduling and same day appointments when available. Family Foot Care Center has certified podiatric medical assistance on staff. The office is fully computerized and electronic insurance claim submission is available for patient convenience.
